ABOUT ILLIESIAIlliesia, the International Journal of Stonefly Research, publishes papers dealing with any area of plecopteran research. The Journal is hosted on-line and printed by the University of Illinois, Illinois Natural History Survey, Champaign, Illinois, USA 61820. Copies of individual articles are freely available to all individuals and institutions. There are no page charges or reprint costs for contributors, thus the Journal provides an alternative to the high cost of publishing in many scientific journals. The on-line format permits inclusion of color figures, at no cost to the author, and it is possible to include large data sets, analyses, and computerized sequences in several formats. Authors are responsible for the content of their papers but Illiesia provides rigorous peer review under the direction of the Advisory Board. Copyright rests with authors or their employers but the Journal retains limited rights in order to insure proper archival and on-line maintenance of the papers. Papers are published as separate numbers within an annual volume as soon as galleys are approved by the author(s).
